Our recommended Vegan Gyros recipe

To make our Vegan Kebab Gyros style please start by emptying the contents of the bag into a non-stick saucepan and adding about 500ml of cold water and mixing well. Put on high heat and bring to the boil. Remove from the heat and let the flakes absorb for about 10 minutes.

Return to high heat and wait until all of the moisture has been absorbed while stirring occasionally.

Then add about 4oml of vegetable oil and stir fry as desired.

It is possible to add less or more oil as desired.

Serve hot accompanied with garden vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles. It is traditionally served in Pita bread and can also be served in wraps.
